Our Story
Phoela Health was founded by a team of scientists and engineers who shared a vision: to bring laboratory-grade biosensing technology out of the lab and into the field. The journey began at McGill University, where years of research into CMOS-based optical biosensors led to a breakthrough, a miniaturized bioluminescent detection platform capable of real-time surface contamination testing.
Recognizing its transformative potential, we spun out Phoela Health Inc. to translate this innovation into scalable products for food production facilities, hospitals, and environmental testing.
